Great home-style food at a great price. Bring cash though. They do not take credit/debit cards.
Their steaks ain't when 2 cents no flavor at all plus I got food poisoning and been sick sense then.
Place was great. Sweet tea was perfect southern taste and the homemade battered potatoes are the choice to make. I've only been twice but I can vouch for the patty melt and hamburger steak with onions and gravy and will make you full and leave you wanting to come back for more the next day.
For what it is and where it is Jake's Family Restaurant takes the cake. Local decor with a history and decent food. Fast friendly service. Daily lunch specials are super quick.
